Dear Parents,

I love after care! Having always loved being in a classroom, it is no surprise I made my way to becoming a teacher. While working as an Executive Administrative Assistant at a center much like COTI Community Christian School, I was heavily encouraged to teach the K-3rd grade after care program. From the first day, I was hooked! What a wonderful teaching opportunity: limitless possibilities to teach children with varied developmental levels and interests about a myriad of topics! I continue to enjoy stretching each lesson to meet the needs of my students.

After moving to Florida with my Coast Guard husband in spring of 2008, I completed my Masters in Education degree. By mid-fall, I had found a home here at COTI. I am encouraged by the children’s eagerness, the parental support and involvement, and the staff and supervisor support! The teaching team at COTI is phenomenal; this is a unique, loving environment for all children.

I sincerely look forward to a year motivated by the interests of my class (please, stop by and read the list of “Things We Want to Learn this Year” to see what we’ll be up to), and focused on aiding each student to find fulfillment, achievement, maturity, and enrichment.
